With this 31-piece Carpoint tyre repair kit, you have everything you need to quickly and easily repair tubeless tyres on cars, motorcycles, trailers or vans. The kit is suitable for up to 25 repairs and is designed for punctures up to 6 mm, for example caused by a nail, screw or other sharp object.
All tools are packed in a practical lockable plastic case, making this set ideal to keep in the workshop or take with you on the road.
1 reaming tool with T-shaped plastic handle
1 insertion tool with T-shaped plastic handle
2 tubes of rubber cement, 6 ml each
1 folding knife for trimming the repair plug
1 tyre pressure gauge, 5–50 lb/psi
25 rubber plugs
First remove the sharp object from the tyre, such as a nail or screw. Roughen the hole with the reaming tool by moving the tool up and down inside the puncture.
Thread the rubber plug through the eye of the insertion tool and apply the supplied adhesive to the plug. Then insert the plug into the hole using the insertion tool. Push it in until about two-thirds of the plug is inside the tyre. Make sure the plug has passed through the tyre properly so it is not forced out when the tyre is inflated.
Pull out the insertion tool with a quick movement. Trim off the excess material with the folding knife, leaving about 5 mm of the plug exposed. Then reinflate the tyre and check the pressure with the included tyre pressure gauge.
