User guide
Our units are generally supplied with a Danish user guide, which is sent electronically. Some products may also include supplementary English user guides and English video tutorials.
Installation
Some vehicles require a certain level of technical knowledge to install the unit. This varies from car to car and model to model. However, all our units are supplied with a fascia frame that fits the specific vehicle model and adapter cables made specifically for that car model, so as a general rule it is not necessary to cut and splice wires yourself, etc.
Payment
We accept card payments with Visa, Mastercard and Maestro. In addition, we offer payment with Google Pay and Apple Pay. Payment via Viabill and MobilePay is also available (for Danish customers only). Choose the option that suits you best at checkout.
We do not charge card fees. The amount will only be charged to your card when the item is dispatched.
Reservation of funds
If you pay with an international payment card, the amount is reserved immediately. The funds remain reserved on your card or account until:
1) We charge the amount when we ship the item, or
2) The funds are released according to the agreement with your card issuer.
In the case of a special-order item or a product ordered in from a remote warehouse, we reserve the right to charge the payment before the item is dispatched from our warehouse in Denmark.

When purchasing with ViaBill, you will first receive your goods. You must then pay your monthly instalment on the same date each month.
If you do not pay on time, a fee will be charged. If you cancel your purchase, the payment agreement with ViaBill will also end.

At Bilmedie.dk, we do everything we can to ensure that you receive your order quickly and safely.
Delivery methods
We primarily ship with GLS, which delivers to parcel shops, home delivery and business addresses. In some cases, we may use other shipping companies depending on the order type and delivery address.
Delivery time
Most orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days, after which delivery time is 1–2 business days. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive
and a tracking number, so you can follow your parcel all the way.Free shipping on orders over DKK 500.
We offer free delivery to a parcel shop on purchases over DKK 500.
For orders below this amount, a low flat shipping fee of DKK 49 will be added, as shown at checkout.
Delivery in Denmark
We deliver throughout Denmark – to private and business addresses as well as parcel shops.
Right of withdrawal
At Bilmedie.dk, as a consumer and not a business customer, you have the right to cancel your purchase in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Act. Below you can read the conditions for exercising your right of withdrawal.
1. Cancellation period
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you shop with us.
The period expires 14 days after you have received your item, or we have entered into an agreement for a service.. If you have ordered several different items in one order, but they are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.
2. Notice of cancellation
Goods
If you wish to cancel your purchase, you must notify us no later than 14 days after receipt.
This means that you have 14 days from receipt, or from the day we entered into the agreement, to inform us that you wish to cancel the agreement. You must send an email to info@bilmedie.dk or use our cancellation form. You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to accept the item without notifying us at the same time.
2.1 Returns
Once you have informed us that you wish to cancel your purchase, you have 14 days to send the item back to us.
You must pay for the return shipping yourself, and you are liable if any damage occurs during transport.
If a parcel is returned uncollected from a parcel shop and this is due to cancellation, we will deduct the actual return costs from your refund. These costs are typically around:
- Delivery: DKK 65
- Return delivery and parcel shop fee: DKK 80
- Packaging: DKK 15
- Staff handling: from DKK 40
3. Condition of the item upon cancellation
If you have received a physical item, you are liable for any reduction in the item’s value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and function of the item. The amount you can be refunded depends on the item’s commercial value, and in some cases this may mean that you can only be reimbursed for the shipping costs.
We recommend that you return the item in its original packaging.
If the original packaging is missing, this may result in a reduction in the item’s value
Please note that the item’s value may be reduced due to, among other things, the following:
Damaged/missing packaging and screen protection
Scratches, dirt and attached tape
Signs of use
Evidence of contact with sensitive electronic components, such as cables and connectors
Clear signs of handling and contact that mean we cannot guarantee that the software and sensitive electronics are untouched and still fully functional.
4. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
You do not have a right of withdrawal for:
Services that have been fully performed, if you have given prior consent for the service to begin and thereby accepted that your right of withdrawal would be lost before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
Individually customised products made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
5. Refunds
If you withdraw from the agreement , you will receive your money back. If the item has diminished in value, we will deduct the amount for which you are liable.
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (however, this does not apply to any additional delivery costs if you have chosen a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery option we offer), no later than 14 days from the day we received notice that you wish to withdraw from the agreement.
The refund will always be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Special provisions for services
If you have given your consent for the work or delivery to begin, but still wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please note that we will charge reasonable costs for the work already carried out.
Special provisions for goods
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the item, unless you provide us with documentation that it has been returned.

Right to make a complaint
When you shop with Bilmedie.dk, your purchase is covered by the Danish Sale of Goods Act, which means that as a consumer you have a 24
month right to make a complaint. This means you can complain about defects and shortcomings in a product or service that were present at the time of delivery.
When you shop with us as a consumer, the rules of the Sale of Goods Act apply to purchases of goods, but not to services. This means that, as a general rule, you do not have a 2-year right to make a complaint for services.
However, you still have the right to complain if there are defects or shortcomings in the service. You must complain within a reasonable time and preferably as soon as possible, as timing may be crucial to our ability to remedy the issue. If you are not satisfied with the service, you are of course welcome to contact us at info@bilmedie.dk.

Defects or faults in the delivered product
Incorrect or incomplete delivery
The right to make a complaint does not cover faults or damage caused by:
Incorrect use or handling
Unauthorised modifications or attempted repairs
Normal wear and tear
1.1 Transport damage
If the product is delivered with visible damage, you are encouraged to contact Bilmedie immediately and keep/take photos of the packaging.
2. How to make a complaint
If you discover a fault, please contact us as soon as possible – preferably within a reasonable time after you discover the fault. If you make a complaint within two months of discovering the fault, the complaint will always be considered timely.

3. What happens next?
Once we have received your complaint, we will assess the case.
Depending on the circumstances, we offer:
Repair
Replacement (new product)
Price reduction
Refund if the above is not possible
This will of course be done at no extra cost to you as a customer, as long as the complaint is justified.
If the complaint is justified, we will reimburse your (reasonable) shipping costs. The item must always be returned in secure packaging. Please also remember to obtain proof of postage so we can reimburse your shipping costs
If no fault is found with the item, Bilmedie reserves the right to recover the costs of postage (DKK 65 per parcel) as well as workshop testing costs (DKK 500 per commenced hour)
Force majeure
Certain unusual circumstances may affect your willingness and ability to complete the agreement. This may include, for example, extreme weather conditions, civil unrest or epidemics. In the event of force majeure, you will generally be entitled to postpone the agreement to a later date. If that is not possible, you may be entitled to a refund.
Please note that a government recommendation advising you not to proceed with the agreement does not constitute a prohibition and therefore is not considered a force majeure situation.
Complaints procedure
If you wish to submit a complaint regarding your purchase as a consumer, please contact info@bilmedie.dk. If we are unable to reach a solution, you may submit a complaint to Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg via the Nævnenes Hus Complaints Portal.
To file a complaint, the product or service you are complaining about must have cost at least DKK 1,220 and no more than DKK 100,000. A fee is charged for complaint processing.
If you reside in Denmark and have purchased from a seller outside Denmark but within the EU, Norway, Iceland or the United Kingdom, you can submit a complaint to Consumer Europe here
If you live in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, you can contact the Consumer Europe office in the relevant country.
A chargeback does not affect your obligation to pay. Disputes regarding purchases, claims or cancellations must be resolved through a complaints board or the courts and cannot be settled via chargeback. An unjustified chargeback may result in continued collection efforts, including debt collection and legal action.
