Right of Withdrawal

At Carmediaeurope.com, you as a consumer (not a business customer) have a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. Below you can read the conditions for exercising your right of withdrawal.

1. Withdrawal period

The withdrawal period is 14 days and begins on the day you receive the product.

2. Notice of withdrawal

If you wish to cancel your purchase, you must notify us no later than 14 days after receiving the product.

3. Condition of the product in case of withdrawal

If you have received a physical product, you are liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and function of the product - in short, you may inspect the product as you would in a physical store.

The product's value may be reduced, among other things, by:

  • Damaged or missing packaging and screen protector
  • Scratches, dirt, or adhesive tape attached
  • Use of the product (e.g. installation or attempted installation)
  • Signs of contact with sensitive electronic components (e.g. cables and connectors)
  • Clear signs of handling that mean we cannot guarantee that the software and electronics are untouched and fully functional
  • Storage of data from your phone or the car's CAN bus system in the radio units.

The above may significantly affect the resale value and may result in a loss in value of up to 100%.

The reduction in value is assessed specifically and objectively by Bilmedie through a physical inspection.

4. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Services that have been fully performed, if you have given prior consent for the service to begin before the withdrawal period expires
  • Products or services that have been individually customised to your wishes

5. Refund


If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we have received the returned product and completed an assessment of the product's condition and any loss in value.

We reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the product back, or you have provided documentation that the product has been sent.


Right to Make a Complaint

When you shop at Carmediaeurope.com, your purchase is covered by the Danish Sale of Goods Act. As a consumer, you therefore have a 24-month right to make a complaint regarding defects and faults that were present at the time of delivery.

If a fault appears within 12 months after delivery, it is presumed to have been present at the time of delivery, unless otherwise can be documented.

1. What can you make a complaint about?

You can make a complaint about:

  • Defects or faults in the delivered product
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery

The right to make a complaint does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Incorrect use or handling
  • Unauthorised modifications or repair attempts
  • Normal wear and tear

1.1 Transport damage

If the product is received with visible transport damage, you must contact Bilmedie as soon as possible and keep as well as take photos of the packaging. 

2. How to make a complaint

If you discover a fault, we ask you to contact us as soon as possible and within a reasonable time after the fault has been discovered.

In the event of a complaint, please state:

  • Order number or purchase date
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos or other documentation, if possible

3. What happens next?

Once we have received your complaint, we will assess the case. Depending on the circumstances, we offer:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Price reduction
  • Refund, if none of the above is possible

This will be done at no extra cost to you, as long as the complaint is justified.

If the complaint proves to be unjustified, Bilmedie reserves the right to recover postage costs (DKK 65 per parcel) as well as workshop testing costs (DKK 500 per commenced hour).


Chargeback and payment obligation

A chargeback does not in itself change the underlying payment obligation. Any disputes regarding purchase, complaint or cancellation must, as a rule, be settled through a complaints board or the courts.

If a chargeback is made without valid grounds, Bilmedie reserves the right to collect the outstanding amount, including through debt collection and legal action.
