This 16-pin adapter cable is designed for installing compatible Carmedia24 car radios in the Mazda CX-9 2007-2015. The cable set connects the vehicle’s original radio wiring loom to a suitable aftermarket Carmedia24 radio and includes connections for power supply, speakers, FM radio antenna and the factory reversing camera.

The adapter cable is supplied with an FM antenna adapter and an adapter for the vehicle’s original reversing camera. Please note that installation requires a compatible CANBUS box, which is not included.

Installing a Carmedia24 radio in Mazda CX-9

When replacing the original car radio in a Mazda CX-9, a vehicle-specific adapter cable may be required to connect the car’s existing wiring loom to the new radio.

This cable set is intended for compatible Carmedia24 radios with the relevant 16-pin connection. The adapter features a larger red multi-plug, grey vehicle-specific connectors and additional connections for radio installation.

The included FM antenna adapter allows you to connect the vehicle’s compatible original antenna connection to the new radio.

The adapter for the original reversing camera makes it possible to connect the vehicle’s existing reversing camera to a compatible Carmedia24 radio. Correct operation depends on the vehicle’s original camera system, the radio’s connections and the required CANBUS solution.

Important – CANBUS box required

Installation of this adapter cable requires a compatible CANBUS box. The CANBUS box is not included and must be purchased separately.

The CANBUS box is used to manage relevant communication signals between the vehicle’s electronic systems and the aftermarket radio. Functions such as steering wheel controls and other vehicle-specific features depend on the selected CANBUS box, the vehicle’s equipment and the radio’s support.

Please therefore check that you have a CANBUS box compatible with both Mazda CX-9 and the relevant Carmedia24 radio before starting installation.
