With this 9-piece Carpoint tyre repair kit, you have everything you need to quickly and easily repair tubeless tyres on cars, motorcycles, trailers or vans. The kit is suitable for repairing punctures up to 6 mm, for example those caused by a nail, screw or other sharp object.
The kit includes:
1 T-handle reamer tool for preparing the damaged area
1 T-handle insertion tool for fitting the repair plug
2 tubes of rubber cement, 6 ml each
5 rubber repair plugs
Ideal to keep in your vehicle as a temporary emergency solution until the tyre can be checked or professionally repaired.
First remove the sharp object from the tyre, such as a nail or screw. Roughen the hole with the reamer tool by moving it up and down inside the puncture.
Thread a rubber plug through the eye of the insertion tool and apply the supplied adhesive to the plug. Then insert the plug into the hole using the insertion tool. Push it in until around two-thirds of the plug is inside the tyre. Make sure the plug has passed properly through the tyre so it is not forced out when the tyre is reinflated.
Pull the insertion tool out with a quick motion. Trim off the excess material so that about 5 mm of the plug remains. Then inflate the tyre again.
Tip: Keep the tyre as inflated as possible during the repair. Air will naturally escape through the hole, but this makes it easier to insert the plug and remove the tool.
