Oil Tester for Diesel, Petrol and Gear Oil

This oil tester is designed to assess diesel engine oil, petrol engine oil and gear oil quickly and clearly. The test is based on the American ASTM D7899 standard and uses a chromatographic method, where a special material separates the oil into different fractions, each with its own colour. As the oil degrades, the colour development becomes more visible.

The result is compared with the chart on the label, giving you a simple visual assessment of the oil’s condition. The set includes 3 testers for different oil types.

Applications

• For diesel engine oil
• For petrol engine oil
• For gear oil

Instructions for Use

• Warm the engine to operating temperature of 90-110°C
• Switch off the engine after 30-40 minutes of idling or driving
• Fill in the form and place the tester on a flat surface
• Remove the dipstick or take a sample from the oil sump
• Apply 1-3 drops of oil to the centre of the tester in the same spot
• Wait 40 minutes and compare the result with the chart on the back
• If needed, take a photo or scan the result to save it
